Traditionally, the interior of city cars is less welcoming than that of sedans of the upper segments. Thus, it is not uncommon to see the sheet on the doors as is the case on the Volkswagen Up for example. This is not the case for the new Hyundai i10. The Korean manufacturer has paid particular attention to the appearance of the cabin. And at first glance, it works quite well thanks to many good points: the blue or orange strip on the lower part of the dashboard, the surround of the shifter or on the counter doors fully lined, the granular appearance of the coatings and finally the storage with, in particular, a location for a bottle of water in each door.

Interior

The controls are fairly ergonomic and well placed and the driver will appreciate to use the buttons placed wisely on the steering wheel. Too bad that, given the limited space available, the car cannot receive an integrated navigation system. However, at Allocarrental we offer you the possibility to add an optional Garmin semi-integrated GPS placed in the center of the dashboard. The latter is relevant in its indications of direction but not pleasant to use because it might take your attention away from driving.

Performance

The i10 skips the diesel and is only available with two gasoline engines: a three-cylinder and a four-cylinder that has automatic transmission. This i10 has been very comfortable in the city, handy at will and offering good performance. In Mauritius, the Hyundai i10 will allow you to travel to any busy town thanks to its small shape, and parking with this car is hats-off a child’s game. Providing sufficient storage space, the Hyundai i10 is perfect for a couple or a family when going shopping in various malls around the island such as Bagatelle shopping mall.
