Honda Fit

Much like the original Mini, the Honda Fit is best known for its versatile interior. It's around this imposed framework that the designers gave it a rather unusual body. From the side, we see that the hood is almost perfectly aligned with the angle of the windshield, a presentation reminiscent of that of an MPV. Not particularly elegant, then, but this configuration nevertheless allows for excellent forward visibility. The rear is much more interesting, with its lights following the shape of the pillars.

On board

The Honda Fit consumes the least amount of fuel per kilometer available for refueling. The cabin is surprisingly spacious considering the vehicle's small footprint. However, if you're over 1.80 m tall, front legroom feels very limited, a flaw exacerbated by the driving position and the very short seat cushions. The fit and finish are also very good, with no major flaws to report. Hard plastics are present, but not of poor quality. The presentation is also very modern, centered around the driving position with a slight angle in the navigation controls. The controls, however, are user-friendly; there aren't many buttons to press. Instead, Honda has focused purely on a minimalist approach.

Under the hood

Honda has focused on producing a single engine for its Fit, a 1.5-liter four-cylinder with direct injection. On paper, this may seem like a small unit, but with a total weight of less than 1,200 kg, this little engine performs very well. When accelerating, this engine performs really well, and there's also a sport mode that allows the driver to push the Honda Fit to its limits. The CVT gearbox only accentuates the impression of too constant effort, but its manual mode allows the decibels to be reduced on demand.
